Skokie publishes unusually detailed current ALPR information, including a September 2026 inventory spanning Flock, Axon Fleet, Vigilant and Alltech systems, plus state documentation of its Axon body-camera deployment.

Automated license plate readers
Skokie’s current ALPR page reports 20 pole-mounted Flock cameras on high-traffic roads, Axon Fleet cameras on all marked squad cars, one Vigilant pole-mounted camera at the police department, and six Alltech red-light cameras along McCormick Boulevard that also contain ALPR technology. Skokie states that ALPR data is retained for 30 days unless preserved as evidence.
Body-worn cameras
The Illinois 2024 Body Worn Camera Report states that Skokie Police had 116 sworn officers using 118 Axon 3 body-worn cameras. Current Village material continues to identify the BWC program and states recordings are retained for at least 90 days. The 118-camera figure remains date-scoped to 2024.
