Fusus user licensing
DeKalb's 2025 Axon agreement includes Axon Fusus “Plus User” licenses as part of the department's five-year Axon program beginning in 2026.
PROVIDER / PLATFORM
Real-time crime center software that combines live video, alerts, location data, ALPR overlays, and other public-safety data into a common operational interface.
OWNERSHIP
Axon acquired Fusus in February 2024. NoRec keeps a separate Fusus page because contracts and agency records may identify the Fusus platform by name even though the product now belongs to Axon.
DOCUMENTED ILLINOIS RELATIONSHIP
DeKalb's 2025 Axon agreement includes Axon Fusus “Plus User” licenses as part of the department's five-year Axon program beginning in 2026.
The agreement establishes access to Fusus licensing. It does not by itself prove which private cameras, public cameras, CAD feeds, ALPR systems, sensors, or other integrations are currently connected.
PUBLISHED PRODUCT CAPABILITIES
Axon describes Fusus as combining public and private video streams in a unified real-time interface.
Axon's current product material describes ALPR overlays and vehicle identification/tracking within the platform.
Axon describes officer location, alerts, dispatch information, and other operational data appearing on a shared live map.
Official material describes integrations with cameras, drones, IoT sources, floor plans, gunshot-detection triggers, and other feeds.
PRIVACY / GOVERNANCE
Axon says Fusus can incorporate privately owned camera feeds with permission. Whether an Illinois agency has such feeds connected requires agency-specific evidence.
Axon's product documentation describes configurable role-based access. Local permissions and user counts should be established from agency records.
A real-time integration platform can expose multiple underlying systems with different retention rules. NoRec should document retention at the source system as well as any export or evidence workflow.
Contracts, access logs, integration inventories, camera-sharing agreements, user roles, and audit records are key records for determining the practical scope of a deployment.
